Race4More Tri Rock Lake Geneva

As most of you know, and I am sure are probably sick of hearing and reading about, I am a triathlete and a member of More Than Sport. That means that God has blessed me with the physical ability of swimming, biking and running a given number of miles on any given day. Now I am not saying that I do any of these particularly well or fast, but I am able to do them none the less which is more than many are able to say. There are however many individuals, children, veterans, and adults who for one reason or another are not able to participated in these events on their own. They are athletes in their minds, but their bodies wont allow them to do it without assistance.

I am proud to say that on Sept 13th, I will be pariticipating in the Lake Geneva Tri Rock Sprint Triathlon as an “Angel Athlete”, and together with Jeff Zematis, and Joe Emmons we will assist a disabled athlete participating in a triathlon. This race is not about me, it is about giving back and helping someone else achieve their goals and live their dreams but in order to do so, I need your help.

To participate in the event I need to fundraise $250 for myTEAM TRIUMPH – Wisconsin Inc. An inspiring 501c3 non-profit athletic mentoring organization that gives hope to many individuals with physical disabilities throughout Wisconsin. They accomplish this by pairing individuals with disabilities (called “Captains”) with three able-bodied athletes (called “Angels”).  In a race, Captains provide the inspiration, while Angels push and pull their Captain in specialized running chairs, biked trailers and boats.  By providing support, mentoring relationships, and the chance to cross the finish line, physically challenged athletes are able to become whole through sports.

I am hoping that you can partner with me by making a donation on my secure personal fundraising webpage at https://www.stayclassy.org/tonydemakis, and in the future, literally partner with me in another event.

Please join me in our mission to improve the health and well being of individuals with disabilities.  Give the gift of sports and help get challenged athletes off the sidelines – and into the race.

If you can’t make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter! Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!

Thanks so much for your generosity! Please help me DO MORE!
